We had to take down the old site Bjorge, under advice from our web host who seemed to think it was a risk to security.

Hi,
I had issues, too. Using my saved link I always got Error404. Then I used a link to Carpe in an old post from the ABR site and strangely got in. The newly created shortcut from there strangely works, too.
Happy anyways.

You'll get an error message if you use www.carpe-tdm.net but should be fine if you use www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb Soooooo, you prolly need to change your Carpe bookmark addy.

Yeah, can understand that, encouraging and even misleading young people to think that it's safe to ride twenty-five year old bikes held together with duct tape but still fine-tuned to maximum enginge performance....

If one of you guys have access to the web server it would be quite easy to make the root url work again. Now it may end up "unfindable" to any but us.....

When ONJ told us to remove the old files, saying they were a security threat, I had to remove the old site files from the server. Only way to get the old site back online is to re-install the old files wot oi ad removed. I tried doing this using the directadmin site/software but it wasn't playing ball, just kept locking up, so will have to find the software I previously used to manage the site files when we upgraded. Unfortunately, this software was on my old pc which went tits up a few years ago and I can't remember the name of the software I used.

You have access to the web server, like with FTP or a web-based file manager, I guess ?Â
If so, writing an uploading a file in the root directory (index.php or index.htm(l)) that redirects to /ipb folder would be fairly easy.

Think it was the server peeps searching for a problem and trying to rule everything oot. All seems ok now and looks loike the old forum isn't/wasn't the problemo.
