i have everything i need except crankcase jointing/sealant compound. Yamabond  (or Three Bond)1215 is recommended but it costs silly money....is there an alternative ?

Found some reasonably priced Threebond 1215 now and placed an order for a tube.

I can crack on with reassembly soon

That's on top of the hills in the Black Forrest. In one valley it was 47!! Their bituminous patches on the roads were melting. Slippery as hell.

I've got a nearly full 80ml tube of Loctite 5699 I used to join the casings.  Reckon I only used about 5ml for the job.  You cudda had your fill of it and posted it back to me for the cost of postage.

Well, I was in the mood this morning. Assembled the calipots. Everything went together smoothly. Yeah.👍

Hey there Schmo9, those spots look great. Let us know how they feel compared to the originals. Pd Gabe. 😎

Blue spots are working better than originals and the pads are just bedding in...
Not much today. Yesterday evening did the final assembly on the front end. Everything went together swimmingly. That Pr3 sure looks sweet. I set the forks 5mm above the top clamp. Will see how that works. Compression/rebound set to zed for now.

A couple more knick knacks to resolve, cowling repair and upgrade the m/c, then riding time. 😆

Forgot how to post photos, need a refresher please. Thanks, G. 😎
I found instructions in one of my first posts from you fine folks, Studley, gonna try it.
I should post more photos so's I remain proficient. 👍

Cleaned up the mk1 head, ground off some metal around the inlet valve pockets to make for a smoother flow, lapped in the valves.

Realised my valve spring compressor is too big for the job, so ordered a new one....couldn't be bothered fettling an adapter when a new kit cost less than £9 !  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261610503048?_...EBIDX%3AIT
