Two days of fixing, mixed outcomes:

Action - result

--------------------

Renewed speedometer cable - almost
steady needle, a slight vibe at certain speeds (success-)

Renewed clutch cable - smoother & easier operation (success+)

Replaced cracked float bowl (Thanks, Studley !), adjusted fuel levels, synchronized - seemed nice after test drive, but upon arrival at today's commute it skipped and stuttered on idle....(failure) Confusedorry:

Adjusted chain (success)

Washed (success)

Confusedorry:  Tongue - can't decide....

Bjørge
Pushed it out into the rain while I tidied the gingerbread shed.

You will go blind
Readjusted float valves, synchronized carbs (used old jets from carbs to smoothen gauge fluctuations - worked a treat !).

Now running better than in years  :pimp:

I must say, though, that the procedure for measuring fuel level is quite tiresome - esp. when adjustment is a precision guesswork....

Bjørge
Yeah, a whole 1mm to play with. Lol

Good idea about using yer old jets to dampen the fluctuations. :good:
Blasted down from Monschau to Vianden in Luxembourg taking the "curvy" option on the Garmin. I have died and gone to heaven! Lol
You don't need balls to ride a big bike.

Replaced a cracked mirror with a complete new one

Replaced footpeg rubbers that were worn

Replaced indicator lense that was cracked

Got tax disc in post and it's now fitted to the bike so she's ready for summer

Then took her for a spin  :yeahbaby:  Exclamation
