What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today?
Had a ride out in the dark to test dip (55w HID) and hi (20w LED fan cooled) beams (which went straight through the MOT).

Dip  :good: very pleased - much better than the one I did on the 4TX.

Hi -  :unsure2: hmmm needs  some adjustment/trials as it seems like a lot of light with little in the way of direction at the moment.

Spent the weekend with BSM at the MCN Bikefest in Peterborough then rode it to Chatham for a meeting today. For a country bumpkin, I cope pretty well with rush hour on the M25!

Fitted some Brembo sintered pads and titanium front brake caliper mounting bolts. Mr Henty fitted the rear wheel with sorted tyre and replaced a few random yucky bolts...

...Then I only bloody rode it!!! Its been so long, but had a nice pootle up to the Victoria Pub in Coalville and back. Big Grin

Fitted the Scotoiler and HCR I've had lying around for over a year. Secondhand off eBay, it was originally going on my Mk1, but the 900 is doing the miles not the 850. There was a little bit of head scratching, but I got there in the end Smile

Serviced the front brake calipers on my Mk2. Ticketty-boo.

The pads now have much more free play when the brake lever is released. Forgot to tie the lever back to the bars for this evening, so will see how things pan out tomorrow when I go for a ride. Hoping that my much improved front suspension will feel even better with a healthier braking system.

Fitted main stand from rafal superb took 1/2 hr very pleased

Had a lovely ride out via Lutterworth, Leicester and Market Harborough. My own personal magic triangle! Wasn't just fun, I was trying out some new riding gear. I got some Alpinestars Fastback boots, Alpinestars SMX-2 carbon gloves and a nice Bandit Alien carbon helmet. Bought these for finer weather and when I'm just going out to socialise, Can't keep turning up in full leathers and proper boots and gloves!

After a few more rides I'll post reports on all three items.

Bugger! Forgot the Knox kneepads, They'll get a review too.

Been busy in the garage money pit today working on the rear fender extender ver.2 on the 850.

Looks a lot better now and should keep any water / salt and road crap off the top shock mount and electrics (not that I go out in it !! ), from the rear it's as 'tho the plastic fender comes all the way down to the battery box area.

Only down side is you can't see the coolant level from the L/H/S you do need to lift the seat and check in the expansion tank it's self , small price to pay for keeping the fuse box and relays free from crud !!.

If any one interested I still have the original white silicone one that I could draw round on a piece of paper or card and post it off so you could have a go at your own version, you'll have make or find find someone to fabricate the R/H/S stainless bracket I had made at work to hold the neoprene in place by the rear brake master cylinder.
