Well, not exactly a mega turnout this morning.  But Mick and me got chatting with a nice geezer from Sheffield on his 1976 Honda 750 four. Smile  Anyone care to guess what it cost the guy to buy the bike and have the mods done ?

Your miles off Gav. Wink  I didn't ask him but I reckon he prolly payed a lot more than £2k for the bike.  I think Mick guessed around £8k and I splurted out £20k Lol to which the geezer said to me..." a lot of people say that.  It cost me £12k"
did he have Carillo rods and pistons fitted inside or something ?  :yeyeye:

Doh !! miles out  Huh , damn smart bike that. Was he just out for a jolly and ended up at the forest ?  d'ya think it'll be at GB Cafe on Saturday ? The closer you look you can see some clever / smart bits to it, did you hear it run with those reverse cones on ?

No mention of any engine mods Lee, owner was more into having a steady, comfortable ride having had all manner of new bikes.

Don't think we'll see him again Gav, he was just out for a pootle and trying/failing to avoid the rain showers. Lol
He'd replaced the carbs with a special set - but had loads of problems getting it set up.

Exhaust system was imported from the States - but he reckoned under £400 for that - so lots cheaper than a replacement OEM system

I think most of the work was done by a renovation specialist, rather than by the owner - that's what cost the money  Wink

The ally tank was something else though - gorgeous
