Sheared a bleed screw in rear caliper of project 850, oh bother !!

We can drill it out on the miller if you like, but I will need the caliper in my hand.

Did a little ride with my wingman paul and his super ten on saturday and then again with my wife and paul on sunday. great weather, salty roads, lots of coffee and fuel were consumed.

 

Today went to a dealer to ask about prices and availability of the new aftica twin. If the ergonomics of the passenger seat/footpegs are ok for the wife, might pull the trigger on saturday. The TDM will probably will be traded in, since I don't have the space for three bikes right now.

Did a little lean angle investigation..... look of the state of that back wheel though...refurb coming up

Finished building the wheels back up fitting titanium disc dolts to replace the old corroded ones.

Got the wheels fitted to the bike and got the back sitting on its new Hyperpro springs.

Just have to await new plastic rivets to put the hugger back on and give the TDM a good clean.

Think you mean the sump guard of Tam's old mk1 !! if so it,s from the TDM model before yours which is a 3vd, should fit the mk2 though, my nephew has one on his.

 

Not many around, ebay but worth searching in europe for one

Think this could do with replacing eh, never had a problem with cooling, thank god i dont have to commute, took it off to paint as it's looking all of its 14 years old and found the fins well mashed when i took the radiator cover off, started off with a screwdriver but the middle is well mashed up  orry:

I have been looking into it, will be the same price as a 2nd hand item or roundabouts, undecided just now, it's been working fine but it's the kind of thing which will bug me knowing it's there....front and back end are coming of the bike and i'm trying to decide if i should just dismantle the whole bike and tart her up, means losing riding time, decisions decisions...

Oh PV your to blame  :punishment: posting up them lovely knew radiator hoses, had to paint the radiator and now look

Second hand may have the same problems. If you get a new core they paint it as well and you know it's right.

I can see some second hand ones are'nt this bad, anyway need to have a think about it all, no rush if i decide to drop the motor !!!!

can't fix rads, but I can make you a proper fuel tank prop for safe servicing, saves yer tying things up and using bits of wood.

why are you going to drop the motor ?

 

I done nothing today on me TDM, just stood at the lathe, making bits for someone elses.

Not decided yet, swing arms coming off to lube, front forks an all to re-lube so debating if i should just go ahead and drop the motor to paint it and have the frame powdercoated, cockpit and clocks are all off as well.... :um:  could be off the road for awhile though  :um:  :um:
