Just in the process of fitting these lights, had to muck about and find good enough mount brackets for which I found in Screwfix. Offered them up this morning, don't look too bad just need to rub them down spray up black and wire in. Ordered a dedicated wiring kit on line and should have it done by the weekend.

Work gets in the way of the nice stuff these days..

Tapped the ends of my new Renthal Ultra Lows to accept those 300gm stainless bar ends.

Takes a great deal of effort to get that M16 tap going, but once it starts, it goes in straight as a die Smile tap (There's nowhere else for it to go)

BONUS - The hand guards still fit and don't foul at all.

There will be no vibes with these dumb bells fitted.

Went on a 1200 km trip last few days from northern Norway to Northern Finalnd and back together with my wife and her Yamaha XJ6.

I might do that. (or send you a tenner)

I bought these

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NB...1_1&sr=8-1

They need a bloody good T-bar on them in order to get an even purchase/twist on them, so you may want to ask around for one of those too.

After meeting Dablik and enjoying a chat yesterday at Hartside, today I have fitted the wingrack and my  large capacity touring reservoir for my scottoiler to my 900.

Many many thanks Cliff.

The cable tie on the bottle frame is a breakaway.

That's bloomin genius!

Why not use an original, yellow 500ml, Scottoil bottle? lol

Converted Splodge's while we were in Portugal as he was getting sick of filling the S.O.   V system up, (he has the S.O bottle now). When this lab bottle gives out I'll have the choice of blue n yella or hi temp red n yella S.O bottles.

Bottle holders can be had fer around £1

Holds over 0.7l & lasts fer ages/easy ta fill too, but one does get grubby scratchers when one has to fill it again.

Not an original idea of mine.

...wouldn't a "large capacity touring reservoir" be a good idea for 850's engine oil as well ? Kinda 4 litre piggyback reservoir "hidden" somewhere on the bike ?

Genius.

You could put it above the engine, below the fuel tank?  :good:
