Well what can I say stuck in a field with 30ish men for a weekend :blink:Â Â thoroughly enjoyed myself it was so nice to put faces to names that I have heard over the years. Â Thank you for making me feel so welcome. Â Thank you Dave for organising, you did a cracking job and maybe if its annual I could sneak in againÂ
Quote:Arrived home after a great ride up through the peak district with phil and lead by martin. Literally 5 minutes after unloading and putting the bike in the garage the thunderstorm broke. Perfect timing
Thanks to everyone for making it a great weekend, everywhere you went there were smiles and cheery greetings.
Got back at 12:30 ish, after a brisk ride up with Dave M.I unpacked my tent and dried it when I got home. Folded it up properly this time and put it way - the rain hit 10 minutes later :good: . Just got back from a pub lunch with the family (I drank Coke ).
Many thanks for organising Dave, great venue, great roads and as ever, great people. Although if we're going to make it an annual event, can we have fewer goat tracks in the Saturday rideout please?
Firstly, I echo my thanks to Big-Medium-Dave (lol) for the weekend and taking the time, effort and thoughtfulness in putting this together.
Â
Ive been on meets in the past and have to say that being part of the TDM family tops the lot ! Great to spend time with like minded folk, enjoy good food, drink and the craic ! Great bunch of guys and girls and I look forward to the next one ( if only to hand over the rightful trophy to the next lucky biker - get painting guys ! )
Â
I got back to Durham at around 14:30 which was good going and all in from trip there, day out on Saturday and back was 776miles on my computer !
Â
While I was away, my kids had been to the local fair at their grandparents and my son had the good fortune to win himself something too !
Â
We therefore had to take a photo of the weekend haul........
Some brilliant photos for the calendar next year. I would vote for the Teddy Bear one above. :good:
Â
Great weekend thanks Dave and everyone who turned up it was great to catch up.
Â
I  Went with Paddy to Shrewsbury and had a carvery Mmmmmm !
Â
Then the heavens opened and I rode home in the worst rain for years.
Â
So that completes all the summer weather we normally have in three months in three days !  Sweltering heat, dead warm nights, thunder, showers, glorious sunsets and 2hrs  of the 100 years storm....... :punishment:
Â
Photos to follow.
Â
Cheers. Ivan

I decided to head out towards Brecon before turning to home, and then spent the afternoon racing the rain clouds east, never spent so long riding in the rain on dry roads beforeÂ

Quote:Sorry guys. I've gotta bail on this, feel my money is now going to have to be spent on vet bills.
Â
Â
Quote:Unfortunately it looks like I'm also out. Persistent pain in the neck when riding more than about 30 miles takes the fun out of riding at the moment. The physio beckons
Â
Â
Quote:Won't be making this. Some arsehole tried nicking my bike in Dublin last night, trashed the ignition.trying to get me and bike back home now, going to be fun. Pissed off doesn't begin to cover it.

I know it's no consolation for not being there, but if you can PM me your paypal email addresses I can sort out some refunds on your deposits
