What Have You Done To Your Tdm Today?
Quote:You must know the procedure by now. If there is no photo, it didn't happen!!!!!

I figured somebody would get on me for that!

Quote:One humble suggestion, if I may?

Lose the crash bars, they're too small to do much good anyway and too shiney (had them on my Mk2)

Get a set of proper ones and blend them into the overall colour scheme along with the bash plate?

Or would that be too much?

I agree about the crash bars...was gonna get them powder coated black and you're right about the size. What bars do you recommend, can never find much for the mk1??
Took my clutch lever off and left my exposed cable end hung up and "bagged" up with light oil to lube the cable after finding the clutch lever heavy and sticky.

What a difference!!!

Well worth investigating if your levers' heavy.
Took the good lady out today........200 miler for her 1st day this year

I use Renntec ones on my 4tx but I don't know if they'd fit with the bash plate, but I'm sure the fixings are the same.

I can vouch for their effectiveness at keeping the expensive bits safe Wink

There are a number of threads on here about Crash bars, use the search function and spend an evening going through them. :rotflmmfao:

Been trying to source Renntec bars but they seem to be as rare as rocking horse shit! I've emailed Renntec direct, just waiting on a response, you never know.
They have, in the past, made them to order. A couple of times recently members have clubbed together and had a production run made.

A minimum of ten orders are required I believe.

y hey worked out cheaper than I paid for mine from the factory IIRC.

There are threads in the search function that will help.

Great...sent PM
Serviced my front calipers and disc bobbins for 3 1/2 hours today because the new sintered brake pads seemed to be running a little warm.

Crikey.

Looks like the front has been binding for a while.

Bike turns good and proper now and stops on two fingers without bleeding. No blue spots involved.

Jump started the Mk2 , (tha battrys bolixed)  started straight away, after several months just sitting there.

Really must either sell it or use it.

Wink

After a trip to North Norfolk and while hot I dumped the oil. Had the clutch sliding a couple of times which at 7000 miles seems a little odd.

Now got some proper stuff in although if it was down to the clean oil I took out it'll be to late.
