Hi All, my name is Guy and I am from Basingstoke.

I'm just about to buy a 2003 TDM900, which I will be using mainly for commuting to the station, bit also a bit of fun when time allows.

Does £2400 sound about right for a very tidy 2003 with 24k miles and service history?
:welcome:

Do ya work for Shell or Esso?  Smile

Price sounds a lille steep but the 9'er bhoyos will prolly have a more educated idea on price....or check oot the price suppository: http://www.carpe-tdm.net/ipb/index.php?s...345&page=3

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
:welcome:  to da club Nismo !
Nope, not Shell or Esso.

Yeah price does seem a bit high after looking at the price suppository. That is a price from a dealer though, so I guess that doesn't help. Can't seem to find much else for a better price on EBay or Autotrader though. 😂
Welcome to Carpe Ken,

Seems about right for a dealer price, private you can do a bit better, BigDaves bike is still up for sale, mileage is a bit more but it's not really a concern to be honest, i would travel for the right bike, often worthwhile..

Hi All

Yesterday paid a deposit on a very clean and tidy 2004 after a test ride. Was not exactly the plan, but what else could I do... Rolleyes

Collecting it in the week.

It will be bike #2 in the garage...I needed something a bit smaller and lighter, that still fits the 6' 6" frame (mine you understand).

Looking forward to learning loads from extended reading sessions here (or asking stupid questions... :good: )

Roger

Thanks for the welcome folks. Lol  I will post some pics when i get the bike. I'm looking forward to getting it, as all the previous bikes have been 4's (except my Trident some years ago), and it feels like a real light weight to me, but really nice to ride.

@dablik......hope that he was a good one!

I need to check further, but is there a downloadable manual anywhere? I've found a link to one in Russian, but tha'ts not much use to me!! Maybe I should learn Russian.....or not....

Well I took the plunge today and bought a yellow 2003. It's got heated grips, Acerbis handguards, double bubble screen and a centre stand.

Should be picking her up early next week, once she has a fresh MOT.
Hello all, used to have TRX850 many years ago that I loved. Currently riding an Aprilia mille but might be doing some touring this year (time and money permitting) and want something a bit more suited for the job. Loved my trx so might dip into TDM ownership and just having a read of the tech on here to work out what to get.
