Gaiters?
I've got a blown fork seal on a 900 that's done less than 8000 miles.  It occurs to me that some good old fashioned rubber gaiters might help to stop this happening again.  Has anyone here fitted gaiters?  What size is required?  Do they look ok or completely naff?

gaiters need about 43mm top, anything around 40mm will do they stretch, allow for 150mm of fork travel, bottoms need to be about 50-60mm. They do work. Chect your stanchions for small pits or dings on the bit that slides through the seal.

Probably doesn't help having crater sized potholes everywhere. Rolleyes
I've fitted gaiters to mine got them from here:

But I think you either like 'em or hate 'em.

I fitted a pair to my Mk1 a couple of weeks ago, looks pretty good!

Anyone know if Arthurbikemad is still selling fork gaiters? BSM is doing fork oil change on both bikes at the moment, and our ancient gaiters need replacing. Ive tried messaging Arthur on eBay but no response.
You don't need balls to ride a big bike.

I just bought some of these,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284436750945

they are the same size as what other sellers list for the TDM 900,

50x35x205cm, I will be trying to fit them next week, but not lost a fortune if they don't,

I'll post up and let you know if they were successful

Thanks Ramo, much appreciated.

Will 35 mm be a bit too stretched over the 43mm stanchions ?
I don't know Lee, but Ill give it a go,

its only  so lets 7mm difference so lets hope so, plenty of lube
