2013 Brittany Mototaranis Tour
Ferry booked and paid for, now all I have to do is plan what I am doing on the way back home from Portsmouth. Huh

For a challenging summer try the

Round Britain Rally.....

1993 TDM 850 Mk1 ..... 2008 TDM 900 ....  1975, 1979, 1982, 1992 Goldwings, Scott, AJS,  Triumph 5TA
Should be able to make it home in one hit from Portsmouth. That's what I'm thinking of doing, take about 3 hours is all.
I've been looking at accommodation near St Malo for the Sunday night. The nearest Campanile is about 10 km from the ferry port and currently sitting at €69 per room - two sharing

Or HotelF1 is a similar distance from the port and a miserly €39.30 per room (up to three adults!!). Beside a builders merchant it would seem from Google Maps.......

Anyone else got a recommendation?    :unsure2:

At risk of doing something exciting!
Never mind the accommodation, have you seen how much snow there currently is in Brittany! I hope it's all gone by end of April otherwise we won't be!

Now on 9er number 2 .....
Plenty B&B in St Malo  cheap as well this one is 51 Euro for twin room and 2 breakfasts.

I can get a single unit for about £190.00 but a double pre paired set are only £290.00. Trying to find some one who also wants one to split the difference and make a big saving.
Find anyone to go for this Danny? May be interested but would have to sell my Midland G8 first. I'll put an advert up and see if anyones interested.
MotoGuzzi Norge 1200GT. for Euro touring

Triumph Street Triple. For those hooligan moments......

Beta Alp 200. For falling off In muddy bits.

I suffer from C.D.O. It's like O.C.D. but all the letters are in the correct order, just as they should be.

Directly only in Switzerland and Austria Act.

In any other country you must not drive without glasses, if you have entered the glasses in the driver license.

I have a glasses, but no entry in the license.
Nevertheless, I keep a Ertatzbrille when I go on tour. Otherwise I can not read the signs and the Navi.

To avoid being served up with an on-the-spot fine, or even having

your car impounded in France, here’s a list of all those bits and bobs

required by visiting drivers:

  • Headlamp Adaptors – so you don’t dazzle oncoming traffic
  • GB Stickers – mandatory to let everyone know where the car is registered
  • Warning Triangle – to be placed 50-150 metres (320-480 ft) behind your car if you break down
  • Fluorescent Safety Vest
  • Spare Bulbs
  • First Aid Kit
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • Spare glasses – yes, believe it or not, if you need glasses or contact lenses to drive, you must carry a second pair
  • You may also need your glasses to read the reams of documentation you’re carrying, including UK Driving Licence, car registration and insurance policy documents

Thanks for the confirmation; still, I've never done so before and don't intend to start now!

This bloody world with all its bullshit regulations so pisses me off I'm glad I probably won't be around for too many more years to endure it. Grrrrrr !

Yes, but these are not all required for bikes.
