Carole Nash - Again
Went to add a new bike on to my policy with them. Classic Suzuki GT380 with mileage restricted to under 1,000, they quoted me £17 to add for the 7 months on my policy before renewal, which is great, then slapped on <b>£35 non-negotiable for "administration"</b>. When I asked exactly where the cost was to them which might justify the charge the only thing they could come up with was that they had to notify the DVLA. I'm assuming that they would do that electronically at the press of a keyboard button). I paid up but will seriously consider moving elsewhere when the renewal date arrives. Think yourself lucky, i have done a couple of policy changes with motorcycledirect this year and been charged £50 admin on each occasion, no option but pay up as i'm due for renewal in August.

I WILL be asking the question "how much do you change for admin fee's" from whoever i end up with in August though

CN charged me £35 admin fee for putting a private number on the Tenere.
Why? Have to advise DVLA........But they already know!
Devitt charged me £20.00 to add my XT250 three weeks before my renewal date (i wanted to take it to the TT) Then the
renewal was only £95.00 fully comp for two bikes, i think that was a good deal!
but i am an old git!

Footman - James charged me £20.00 admin fee, so with 3 bike changes this year they have had £60.00 in fees from me

It's a lot, but it's cheaper than some

All the fees are listed in your policy documents. It is still a total rip off especially when I consider the work I had to do on vehicle changes when I was agent with the Pru. 10% commision on cars and 5% on bikes and for that I was expected to dcollect the premium do all the administration which could involve a 10 mile round trip to the insured's house to get forms etc signed and issue tempory cover notes.
It is obviously a tax dodge as it could be classed as an expense by the insurer so no profit so no tax paid.

Im with CN for the insurance on the tdm I think I paid around 160 for fully comp with 100 excess , when i took this out they said you can have up to 12 bikes on this policy .

I rang them to add my triumph and after all the form filling questions they said it was 35pounds to cover , at no point before when they were listing the benefits of said policy did they mention there was a charge waited weeks for paperwork after several calls when each person said there on there way .

Takes ages to connect to them by phone each call took so long my landline battery went flat all in all not that impressed so far like the free aa cover and dna kit though .

Just my thoughts on my experiance with them.
