How About a New Section
There are a lot of video clips appearing lately, do you think a Video section would be a good idea?
TS50ER, Suzuki GT125, Cagiva 125, Suzuki GT250 20 year gap. Honda CBF600. Discovered the joy of TDM, 1974 GT250 has joined the stable

Vario touring screen, Stainless Steel Rad Guard, Fender Extender (it came off), Givi V46 Topbox (inc brake light), SW-Motech Engine Bars, Wingrack, LED Tail Light

Still in the shed:- BMW Hand Guards, Heated Grips, Aux Lamps.

And then subsections, comedy video clips, TDM video clips, NSFW video clips.......

hmmmmmm, I wouldn't mind all the 'rude' clips in one section but I would rather have them in the normal sections.

There is nothing stopping a 'best of video' thread.

Agreed it's better not to collect everything, but is there maybe some techie (but essentially simple) way of cross-referencing links? I know, I know - IT is never that simple, and some poor b****r has got to take care of it.. Same applies to all the good still shots we've been seeing of tours etc., and (even more so), the mass of technical knowhow and tips. Sad thing is, most of it is accessible only as long as key members stay with Carpe, and it would be nice to have something more durable (Aaarghh, I'm beginning to verge on the "corporate vision" again!! Refer to mission statement.........)

where possible copies of the techical stuff are made and kept within carpe.
i also take copies and put them on my own website just incase. [Image: good.gif]

most of the photos belong to individuals, so we cant go taking copies of them unless they say its ok.
to do this for all would be a time consuming and painful task, i know, i've tried to do that with Scout association sites/photos. [Image: huh.gif]
thats what the gallery is for, but carpe doesnt have unlimited space [Image: sad.gif]

ummm, did pict just volunteer?

Agree with thomas on splitting, but think we now need a readers wives (ok partners/special friends/f*ckbuddies) section. Was bit alarmed (albeit pleased) to find bikini babe in All About TDM. Don't know about you but I need to watch that sort of stuff at work. Either that or admin needs to relocate to HPI.

Edit: When I say watch that stuff, I mean watch out for not watch...oh I'll get me coat...

Don't you 'work' at 'work'? Why is NSFW needed? Not enough to do? [Image: tongue.gif]

video section... k

what would having a seperate video section improve?
so everybody who has a video to show on whatever subject should post it in this video section rather then in the related section (safety, comedy, comercial, howto ...)?

or you want a section where all the links to "non motorcycle related" videos go?

I think a seperate section for video links would just wind up becoming another chat area with photos etc.
Why not one little spot that holds the 'Top 10' vids? (No, I am not volunteering for the selection commitee.)

I, for one, am not enthusiastic about reading a thread in All About TDM that refers me to a different thread so I can look at a video that relates to the thread I was on in the first place.

But I'm old and cranky.... [Image: ranting.gif]
