advice on fitting replacement exhaust
Hi mighty Carpe...as normal, looking for some advice (I'll contribute something useful one day, honest [Image: smile.gif] ) Have bought some scorpion cans for my 900, can I just fit them and go? or is there some set-up changes needed or advised? Thanks in advance.....yours llamaman
Unless any Carpedian(s) can offer direct help, it may be best to drop a line to Scorpion? (Sadly they don't seem to have a phone-in helpline). Tuning needs may depend on what cans you have.

cheers pict..I've pinged them a mail. did you read their comments about the timelyness of their response?? they certainly don't raise your expectations do they?? thanks again.....
If it are just slip on cans you most likely won't have to change a thing. If it's an entire set (including the front bends etc.) than the bike will need a tune up.

I'll let go of my throttle when they pry it from my cold, dead hands...

dK's right - sorry, that's what I meant by it depending on the system: my slip-ons didn't call for re-tuning but some other fitments would have. Wise to check, though you're right about the "warm welcome"!

Maybe dandywarhol or others could comment on the needs/benefits of re-tuning c/w the availability of PowerCommander maps for Scorpions if you wanted to go down that route?
