Better shout up and introduce myself having quietly gleaned a vast amount of hard earned knowledge from the posts of the wise.
Fair play - the forum been invaluable these last few weeks. Anyway I've had a 4TX since 1999 - bought with just 300 miles on the clock and now has a truly astonishing... 3300 miles on it.
Ooo the shame. It's been laid up for 9 years festering in my garage. (It's a long story but I got rather distracted by another vehicular project, then family, work, etc).
As I'm long overdue a midlife crisis I decided I should really be strutting leather trousers again and so needed an excuse. Being rather poorly she's had a mega fettle over last few weeks (I refer of course to the velocipede - not the missus) and is off for MoT & to play on a dyno on Tues. I'm in North Wales nr Wrexham ish. Brew & a bun usually available if you're passing and I'm in.
Intro over - will expand on the fettle & official verdict perhaps next week. But as of today IT LIVES !!

Thanks for the kind welcome folks - I didn't know about RTT when the offer was made. But do now. Ho hum. Well given notice to bake anythings possible...
Wouldn't have minded tagging along on RTT had I joined earlier. I used to do rally scene in a big way a good few years back. Particular favourites were Farmyard Party (Anyone remember / still do that?) , NABD & a quite a few of the smaller club do's.
Ponderosa - for sure tis as about as good a reason for a ride out as I need really

If this is the right place...
A quick hello to all Carpedians and compliments on what seems to be a very good forum! I've been fettling an old '91 for a few weeks and have picked up some useful info. Had the usual issues - loose front sprocket, valve shims needed doing, carbs full of gunk etc (no cracked frame though!) and was thoroughly entertained getting the exhaust off, but it's getting there now; looking forward to riding the beast and hope I like it as much as I think I will.
Still riding my trusty Thundercat (owned 7 years) at the mo but fancied something a bit different (and twins are cool) and have had an early TDM on the want list for a while. Now can I justify keeping both...?
Have a good summer.
Cheers, Ady

Hi and welcome. I see you're local. There are a few of us round here and we're having our annual g2g near Mildenhall on 12th May if you want to tag along. Check the g2g section for details.

Hi Trevini, thanks. Yes I noticed the G2G; I'm not sure the TDM will be ready by then but you never know...
