I would love to come but I won't be able to get the time off work or the time away from the family.

Perhaps next year.
Try as I might cant see that I'll be able to come. Things could change but at the minute, no, unfortunately.
cheers Graeme
Maybe we should start thinking about September or October???

Will they hold your deposit till then?
September would give everyone more time to organize leave and brownie points, it would be nice if everyone who could can get there.
Also the roads should be fixed then, our day 2 route wasn't looking good with a mudslide taking out a section of the Brown Mtn road closing it to traffic for what maybe months

I suspect it shouldn't be a problem... there's also a chance I might use it in the meantime, clocking up some brownies of my own. Mrs AzzA just got herself a NT700V8 Devil. (Sound cooler when you say it like that.)

If no-one else is up for the Pre-ANZAC run, you may just see two of the most maligned bikes on the open road doing the run solo... as a couple... together... you know what I mean.

My 2 cents worth .... I think it would be better to postpone to later in the year. By then the weather systems may have returned to 'normal' and road repairs have been carried out.

There's nothing better than riding a twisty road in the dry ..... there's nothing worse than doing it in the wet!
Ok that looks like 3 votes for reschedule to Sept/Oct, can we hear from the rest of you please ?

Sept/Oct is OK by me. Possibly may not be a TDM owner by then.......Mitch.
Now I'm back home I can log in.
Once we lost last weekend it was always going to be tricky for me.
September / October sounds like a good idea.
I should be able to turn it into a l o n g weekend by then

Ok with me. Just a thought. There are Vic school hols in there (20sep to 7 oct)maybe we should even go with those hols instead of avoiding them but if so then can they NOT be the last weekend (6 7 oct)
cheers Graeme
the long weekend in October is the close of the ski season and there is usually a huge number of people around for that. I'm happy with the first weekend of the Vic Hols ie:21-24 Sept .
Very frosty nights but "usually" sunny clear days avg Max 15-20C avg min -5-+2C, can get late snow, but last year it was pretty good for the whole of September.

Hi Trotski, think that either side of those holidays would be fine with me but if you do want to call it during them, please go ahead and I'll come if I can.
Water still running through dams etc, gullies that normally never flow still going. That last low of a couple of days ago really took everything past saturation point. Hope your drive has survived.
cheers Graeme
I have just been checking the Long Long range rain outlook for the area (12 month) Sept has a slightly higher chance of above average rain and October-November has a outlook of normal average rain, this means that Oct is more likely to be drier, after the long weekend in Oct there will be less traffic in the snow field areas and also less chance of snow.

I know we keep getting later in the year but the weather up here being what it is, the best riding is from late September to Christmas,

Azza, can you have a chat to the Tourist park and see if they will hold your deposit till say the end of Oct, if it's possible then to my mind any of the weekends in October after the Labor day (NSW) weekend would be best.

this far out I can get leave for when I need to, so to choose a date best for the max possible attendance I would like to hear from as many of you as possible.
Options are

1. Oct 12-15
2. Oct 19-22
3. Oct 26-29

I have look at events in the Snowies and there is nothing that conflicts with us, though the Snowy Ride is on the first weekend in Nov

Let's hear from you all please

I will have to wait for next year - my daughter gets married in Oct / Nov and I am unlikely to earn day release in that period !
