2005 TDM900A alternator output?
Hi all,
Does anyone know how many watts a TDM900A's alternator puts out? Just wonderin what kind of accessories it can handle.

Ride safe.

No one knows the alternator output of the TDM900A? How about the standard TDM900?
Hi Twinrider and welcome to Carpe.
I have been unable to discover the output capacity for you, despite checking everywhere I could think off. The only source I have not checked is a Haynes manual (I don't have one) but I am sure someome else will fill that gap.
But do not worry unduly, because unless you plan to turn your bike into a mobile Blackpool lights you should not have a problem.
TS50ER, Suzuki GT125, Cagiva 125, Suzuki GT250 20 year gap. Honda CBF600. Discovered the joy of TDM, 1974 GT250 has joined the stable

Vario touring screen, Stainless Steel Rad Guard, Fender Extender (it came off), Givi V46 Topbox (inc brake light), SW-Motech Engine Bars, Wingrack, LED Tail Light

Still in the shed:- BMW Hand Guards, Heated Grips, Aux Lamps.
02 to 04 models are rated at 14V/31.5A at 5000rpm, about 441W. Or if you prefer, about 0.6 horse power! I presume the later 05/06 models are the same.
Thanks much! Just wanted to make sure the bike could handle a couple heated jackets, etc. Sounds like it can.
