Fuel Cans
Having acquired a pair of Fuel cans from 'Cats' without link pipes contacted Fuel today and the young lady informed me that these were not sold separate to the full system, I explained that I already had excellent cans in perfect condition and did not need to buy a complete system to which she replied 'to get link pipes you will have no choice'.

Their after sales stinks and I most definitely will not be recommending them to anyone,

in fact after speaking to the lads on the Beowulf stand at the show I may well be going there.

Unless anyone has a spare set of link pipes for a niner.

For a challenging summer try the

You could try MTC, or Quill for link pipes.

Was the exact same response I got when I was tinking about the pipe's Cats had on the Starship (and was subsequently selling).

I have a feeling I might well be going down the same route (Beowulf) as they were the pipes that first caught my eye...it's only the savings (and Carpe reviews) that steered me towards the Fuels...

Very strange attitude I must say
An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us.
One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humilty, kindness, empathy and truth.
The boy thought a while then asked "Which Wolf wins?"

"The one you feed" replied the old man...
This is a follow up to an email QUOTEHaving just spoken to your receptionist regarding purchasing link pipes for some of your oval fuels to fit my 2003 TDM 900 was told that you do not sell spares for your systems, this I feel is counter productive to your continued sales and ultimately profitability of the company.
I most certainly will not be recommending you to any other motorcyclist I know, and will now be taking my business to one of you rivals. I sent to Fuel after the first post the reply was

QUOTEHi Graham
You spoke to me and were told we do not sell link pipes separately, we
do however sell most other consumable spares.
We are sorry you feel you cannot recommend our company because of this
issue but as explained to you earlier, this is our company policy.
We wish you success in your search for replacement link pipes for your
TDM900.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to
contact us.

As nearly all the manufacturers use the same blanks, any ones link pipes should be suitable. This man is very helpful, I suggest you email him at:
doctormaddman@aol.com

He runs ASBO Exhausts, and is at present making me a 2 into 1 system. His name is Geoff Madden. He has made systems for Carpe members before.

Good luck

I contacted Fuel about getting link pipes made so the mki and mkii could use the 9er Fuel end cans. They weren't interested in the slightest. Wanted about £500 off me to even try.

Miserable sods, i won't buy from them again

The filling tubes of the fuel cans have legs and walk away at any time.

Take an empty plastic bottle of dishwashing liquid separates from the lower half bottle and you've made the top half of a slender funnel.
Finished the same thing from a fabric softener Plasikkanne below the handle and you have a large funnel.

The filling tubes are individually it only for the metal canister with a bayonet lock to buy.
