I am proposing Fri 02-03-2012 to Mon 05-03-2012 for the TDUT2012 at Dalgety NSW, let's have a show of hands
I am thinking that we do a Friday to Monday arriving on the Friday, with a run through the Alpine way on Sat (4-5hr ride, lunch at Khancoban Pub and a visit to Cabramurra after + acoulpe of good back roads I know) and back to Dalgety for maybe a Barbie and a few cold ones at the Caravan park (there is also a Public BBQ in the park beside the Snowy river, next door to the CaravanPark and across the road from the Pub) or the Pub does meals as well.
Sunday. 2 options I can think of off the top of my head , Bombala and Cann river Valley to Eden via the Mt Imlay rd and back up the Brown Mtn to Nimitabelle and some good dirt to Dalgety. Or for the more hard core a dirt run to Braidwood, Captains Flat, Jerangle,Adaminaby, Dalgety (all Council Gravel roads, condition depends on weather)
There is limited accommodation at the pub (4 Twin rooms and a flat I think),the Caravan park has onsite vans and plenty of camping sites (I might go for a tent site).
As I know the area I'm prepared to lead the rides, and maybe even run a BBQ (eat my cooking at your own risk) but you'll need to sort your own accommodation
Now I'm happy to take a run anywhere, but in the absense of any concrete proposals I'm happy to take the lead here as this area is my home patch and I really want to keep having a regular G2G even though we are spread thinly all over the country
So lets hear from you all

Sounds like a top idea Trotski, I would certainly like to be there if you blokes don't mind a stray Tiger tagging along.
My other half has had some major surgery ( all sorted, she's AOK ) & I had my stress/employment issues before that so it's been a fairly tough 18 months so as we're only
getting ourselves settled I haven't felt up to organising a Tassie TDUT but maybe 2013?

a tentitive 4 starters so far, if we can get a resonable indication of numbers early, I'll be able to go the Pub and the Caravan Park and negotiate to some degree.

Well this one looks good for me.
Ended up not making the last one so TDUT12 being over a weekend is a much better option.
Put me on the list.
I will be able to give an absolute yes/no in the new year. (when I can negotiate some long weekends from work)
Hello Chaps ,
I have been playing with some routes for the meet, each of approx 6hrs (with plenty of stops for Photos & Coffee) let me know if you think they're a bit long, I generally do these runs by myself and once I get going I only stop for fuel ('cause the roads are such good fun you don't want to stop).
Day 1: around the famous Alpine way approx 350km 4-6hrs depending on stops (Cabramurra has lots of Photos of the Snowy Mtns Scheme)
Day 2: a run to the Coast on some Brilliant twisty roads and back up to Camp via some even better ones

Sounds great, not too long in my humble -----
Graeme
Rode through there a couple of years ago and some of the roads were great for riding
I was planning a trip to Tassie around then but can't spare the time.
A four or five day weekend sounds exactly whats needed.

OK have permission from the boss (wife), so now I will check in the new year with work commitments. And anyone riding out from sydney I would be glad to ride down with.
