I sent 15 Euro but that is what I thought would be enough. I sent it as
a personal payment owed and neither of us got charges! BONUS
But I don't know if Lars has to pay to transfer it to Gert

Matt
I sent the same, but as a gift and told Lars to have a beer for his trouble with the remainder.

Within Germany there are no further charges. So with the option of a personal payment (not available to German paypal users) just the 12 EUR (but not a GBP equivalent) would be enough.

Hi Lars,

I have been following the topics on your forum about ride outs!

I see that they are talking about a max of 8 riders and some of the tours are fully booked already,

I hope that there will be some tours left for all the Carpe gang?

Between maps, google earth and some friendly locals, I'm sure we can work out some decent rides.

When we went on MT08 they'd planned a series of routes already and the run leaders had a GPS file or map of the route, As there were only 4 of us Hanno had organised a run leader for us and it was a really good route. Assuming they're being as efficient again this year it shouldn't be much hassle to get hold of some decent routes.

Regarding groups to join for a tour: Typically there will be plenty "ad-hoc" groups that form like the evening before (or even 5min before the start )

For sure there will be several "prepared routes" that can be copied and run on your own. The size of the group is to be defined by the guide. Some are comfortable with 20 followers, some prefer max 6. I am rather one of the latter species. BTW, I plan to guide some tours as well, but have no clue yet where to. However I have been to the area once and I think you can't do much wrong touring into any direction

I plan to prepare a "tour-board" with prepared forms where anyone can suggest to guide a tour (duration/length, driving style, sights, stops, ...) and people can "enlisten" on that board, best with mobile number so the guide has a contact list in case the group breaks/splits).

Lots of ideas, no implementation yet

Hope this helps for now,
Lars
