The carbs were playing up again so took it to a small independant garage. He came recommended from a lad at work.

He sorted the problem ........... but I noticed when I got it home that the idle was erratic.

Anyway, Sunday I decided to have a look myself and what I found was unbelievable.

Firstly the fuel line to the tank did not have the spring clip connected.

The breather hose for the air filter housing wasn't connected.

The air filter to carb wasn't connected on the right carb.

The overflow pipes for the carbs weren't connected.

The carbs were only pushed onto the engine stubbs and not screwed tight.

The right hand carb to head fastener was hanging loose around the stub.

The incompetence of this is amazing and I suppose I should report this to trading standards.
Arrange a fettle day next time, you then have people who respect the bike helping with the work and it'll be done with care

Is the bike running perfik now that everythings where it should be ?
Yes it's sorted now and runs well. Took less than 15 mins to put it back together properly.

If I would of had a compressor I would have done it myself.

Thats next on my list.

Just couldn't belive what I saw.
