switch to Firefox, or Google Chrome Wicki - far better than IE and less likely to have security problems.

The problem is probably to do with the amount of cached data you system has saved.
Might be worth reducing the cache space IE uses (in Internet Options - via the brower or is you right click on the IE icon on your desktop).
Crome / Firefox is the way forward tho!

Have you tried starting it from the menu instead of using the shortcut icon doohicky ? Had a prob on mine and it was the desktop icon shortcut, somehow the linky address had changed.
I ended up deleting the icon and then created another icon. Are you getting any auto update checking stuff kicking in such as Adobe or Shockwave active x etc ?
Add-ons might need disabling ?

I switched to Firefox years ago, but found that too slooooow too!
Now I use Chrome all the time, excellent when you have a googlemail account, plus I've got a TDM themed background on mine.

Any chance of sharing the background?
MotoGuzzi Norge 1200GT. for Euro touring
Triumph Street Triple. For those hooligan moments......
Beta Alp 200. For falling off In muddy bits.
I suffer from C.D.O. It's like O.C.D. but all the letters are in the correct order, just as they should be.

Load up Chrome, go to themes and have a look for yamaha or TDM etc.
I'd post a link but you've gotta get to it through the menu system of Chrome, I'll try and post a screenshot.
EDIT: Here ya go, not the same as mine but you get the idea.
You gotta get Chrome though...
