Oil Ok?
I've had a 5 litre can of (unopened) GTX in the shed for over a year now. Is it still ok to use? It doesnt go 'off' or anything does it?

Cheers

Considering how long it's been underground, you'll be alright.

I guess so. I was just concerned it 'separated' or something.

Cheers

Does it have 'sell by' or 'use by' date on it?
NO!
It'll last a bit longer than milk.

None Daps (and yes - Tesco GTX special ) but then it really hasnt seen much action to be honest. Hoping to change that this year though.

The TDM's new accomodation goes up this weekend (providing the winds drops a bit!) so that'll give me a decent workspace.

Cheers

Not so creative this time - although I got quite a good deal.

A Keter plastic(!) 11x8 shed. Why plastic? Cos Im a lazy sod really. I've been looking for somewhere big enough at the right price for a while now.

Argos were running it for nigh on £400 less than anywhere else (although its gone back up again now). Me and the neighbour built it this afternoon an I have to say Im impressed most of it just snapped together and finished with a deluge of hefty screws at the end .

Just noticed that Tesco are doing 2l of Castrol GTX for half price (Just over a fiver a bottle). So about £11 for your oil change.

(The usual warnings about potential clutch problems apply.)

For the oil change itself, Ive found this thing quite handy:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165469

Rather than letting the oil drain on to the drip tray on the container (messy) Ive found that a large funnel works quite well.

Hope this helps

Oh yes.

So today's jobs:

New fuel lines & filters, new air filter, oil change and new filter, new plugs and caps and with some neat fuel injected down the carb throats along with loads of volts from a car starter pack and she ROARS into life.

Right, whats next?

Ah.....the fork seals. Hmmm. Dealer for this one I think...:-(
