As I approached a roundabout (one of 12 on my commute) that has recently had a lot of work done to it by way of new Island, new tarmac and most importantly to this story new entry and exit islands, I look to the right and see (and hear the stereo) a small black car approaching and figured I couldn't get there before him so hauled it up to a walking pace.
Now I don't know what the driver was doing or looking at but as he exited (used to be dual exit but is now single exit and an island) he drove up onto the island at about 40mph, it went bang,crunch,scrape,bang followed by a panicked swerve and then bang into the armco.
At this point you would think they might have given up but not our little trooper, he just keeps right on going in a cloud of smoke, dropping water/oil/petrol.
After I stopped laughing I called the police and told them to get someone out to clean up the mess.
