Off The Straight And Narrow
Hello. Nice to see the old place still a lively as ever.

By way of a warning of the depths of depravity to which a lad can sink in advancing years, I bring you a confession. Bad enough that having left the TDM world I moved to the Dark Side and bought a Suzuki Burgman. Now I've really sold out and bought this, based on a '93 Suzuki VS800:

"Donor" bike said to do 115 mph, but I'll not be testing the trike - aiming for laid back and leisurely(ish).

Thanks for the friendly responses. Continued happy riding to yourselves.

Have you ever lent someone 20 quid and never seen it again? It was probably worth it.

Long Loved TDM is no longer with me...

Remember that rear end next time you try filtering.

..and nice bike, I tried the VX800 before getting a TDM and i really liked the engine.

Thanks for other responses. Went for a 50 mile jaunt today after I got the insurance sorted out - bigger hassle than I expected. Few companies will cover, and even those are fussy. Boiled down to Equity Red Star (Carole Nash) and Markerstudy (Bikesure) if anybody is interested. Anyhow, the ride was interesting - a bit like dinghy sailing rather than biking, and exercising on the arms. Did clip the verge once, but avoided collecting wing mirrors etc. - so far, so good.
