I wont buy another set. I'll stick to Max Lites. They never sealed properly and got sweaty and slipped loose.

- That's my thought.
Another boring night & I'm feeling pissed....

I bought a set at MCN show 2 years ago and think they are fantastic, easy to make and find them very comfortable and got them for a whole lot less than other custom plugs, I dont use any other earplug apart from the DIY ones.Found the opposite that they sit perfectly inside my earshape. Good luck guys summers coming
Apparently, you can buy something similar in Boots the Chemists - that's according to my mate Elliott - he reckons he's going to try them

I still use the Orange Neons I get free at work

I use EAR Classic, the yellow cylinder type. They look big but I've used them when riding to Aberdeen from Didcot in Oxfordshire, so about 500 miles. The EAR Classic were fine, kept noise down and were comfortable. For one trip I used the tapered 'Comfort' type. For sure they seem a better fit initially but after a short while my ears were sore. After 500 miles.... my ears hurt for days, so I only use the Classic style now!
I got custom made ones about 5 years ago, i always use them and even use them for swimming.
They never drop out and are comfortable enough to wear all day. They were about £60 but they provide the moulds too in case you need to get more made. They were from ultimateear and are still only £61 inc p&p.
you do need to visit them somewhere so they can take the moulds i think.

These are the ones I use (free from work .. sssshh)

Like you say they seem big, but once compressed they are easy to fit, and have a good level of noise blocking.

I've tried the FX ones from EAR, and found the same, created undue pressure pain somewhere.

Although the Classic ones don't have as good SNR they block the majority of the noise, but leave you with enough to be aware of your road surroundings - CLICKY - this is the place we use for work, and they seem fairly well priced.

Yeh tried the foam ones before I went onto the DIYearplugs ones, but the problem with the foam type is even after a few miles or chewing chewing gum they tended to work there way loose, which was unconfortable and annoying, the good thing with DIY ones once they were set to the shape of my lug, thats it for ever, I also use them in the garage while using power tools and have also used them for flying to cut out the engine noise and get a kip

Yeah, that's what I have too. Pretty good. The seal does slightly break when you move inside the helmet, but I'm pleased that they turn down the noise rather than cut frequencies.
Yup. been using them for 2 years now and think they're excellent.
