Retro Fitted Pinlock To Non Standard Helmet
I p!ssed off with my new Caberg VR2 steaming up.

So, rather than sticking a fog city in it, which I have used before and its like looking through a letter box.

I am going to retro fit a Pinlock universal kit.

Has any one done this.

hopefully it will work ?

Cheers, Ivan

I have done it but didn't follow the Measure twice, cut once advice and was rather hasty drilling the holes.

They come with a template and as long as you take your time you should be fine - ideally practice on an old visor first if you happen to have one lying about.

They do work well but depend on a tight seal all the way round - which means accurate drilling!

I fitted a pinlock on a Caberg Rhyno a couple of weeks ago. It's the best thing I ever did. I can now see where I'm going! As hallrob 1 says, take your time marking the holes. If you drill the holes too close together, careful use of a round file can correct this. But if you drill them too far apart, then a new visor is needed.
By the way, the instructions are not very clear. They tell you to drill the holes where the lines on the template cross, but you drill on the circles instead. This will be obvious if you fit the pinlock against the template before drilling.
The world is full of willing people, some willing to work, the rest willing to let them.
