Certainly cruel, I haven't ridden the bike since the 21st December. I can't remember the last time I went so long without a ride (fnaar, fnaar).
No further snow here overnight, but it was bloody cold last night so everything is frozen solid. The road outside our house is a couple of inches of sheet ice.

ferry snowy here so i'm atome today as our works yard is inaccessible. I might go up to the shed later and start me saws and strimmer and sniff in the fumes mmmmmmm yummy. Had some fun drifting me truck into the village yesterday evening.

I'm off today anyway but going to Slough to meet the guy who's bought my Day Van, going will be ok as she's a 4x4, coming back in a C5 will be a bit more interesting [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif[/img]

Was planning on going to Oxford to see Tony and hand over his thirty calendars, but something tells me not to do it, bacon sarnis and gallons of tea does, life is tough

I hate snow. The only times I have had offs, (since being 17 and reckless), has been on snow and now hate it with a passion. Having only a bike licence has it's drawbacks, as I have to use the bloody bus for work so a 15 min journey takes me over an hour.

Off to look at Plastic Pigs on ebay, they could be fun [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

you'll get down to mine no problem, but getting back up the hill without 4x4 wont happen. i may be able to tow you tho
no grit, 7inches of snow and the roads are compacted snow & sheet ice

still we have loads of bacon, sausages, eggs, beer, wine, whiskey......
worse places to get stuck lol

Project igloo is coming along nicely. I got a bit err hambitious about the floor plan! Has taken all morning and still have a coupla levels to go.

Well i chanced my arm as they say, opted for A14, M6, M56, A57

All was good til i got to the A57, Unbelievable how they can leave a road unattended considering the amount of 44 tonne 60ft artics using it, its a wonder no one was killed.

Got home safely though and thanks for the heads up all

Yeah moine looks just loike dat Thomas.

The hike was MUCH tougher than I had imagined! Masseeve snow drifts and gradients. Left at 1pm and Got back just afore 6. Passed lots of stranded 4x4's and a lolly plus 20 odd cars.

Sorry that I could not make it. Got to Wallingford and by the time i finished 'business' there was hitting 5pm, left my Daughter alone all day so have to make my way there.
C5 Estate handled well though, better than i hoped.

We only had about an inch down here overnight. I know its not much but our road has not properly thawed since before Christmas.

Also anybody near Wolverhampton. The reason I ask is that I have to go there for training from 25th Jan, and just wanted to know what the road / weather conditions are like.

sheet ice everywhere compacted snow down to ice NO grit apart from the 1/2 mile in and out of the gritting depot.

and nearly had a heart attack at 5:20 am when a friendly local dog decided to put its paws on my arse while i was scraping the car windscreen in the pitch black , feck me i aint jumped that high in a while, wasn't expecting nor heard the damn thing behind me..
