<del>1994 TDM 850 mkI</del>Silver

Name is Ron. Been around for years.
Member of the Stevenagfe Club and the local IAM and ride most Sundays including wet and cold winter days.
Picking up my black 2007 TDM 900 on Saturday. Last bike was a 1991 750 VFR, smashing bike.
Done Germany once and France three times, twice on my SV650 and the other trips on the VFR. In fact only back ten days from my last trip.
Looks like a good friendly and helpful forum and I look forward to meeting some of you sometime.
There will a bunch of the guys from the forum at Sainsburys in Govan at Friday Lunchtime,
Call over if you get a chance.
We are meeting there before heading up to Aviempore,
Ur welcome to come along for the spin.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Hi Paddy, Thanks for the offer and I would usually jump at the chance but I should be somewhere around Oban at lunchtime. A work mate has offered to take me up the west coast!!! on Friday to get some experience on the bike and offer a synopsis of my skills, or lack of them!
Enjoy your run and I hope to catch up with you all soon.
I suppose I'll have to introduce myself here as well.
I'm a Dutchman living in Donegal for the last 9 years, married to a local girl and have two kiddies ages 2 and 6. I've just turned 40 last April so life's only really started for me .
Had several bikes in my previous life back in Holland and the last one I sold just before moving country was a '93 Trophy 1200 which I loved.
Bought an FJ in may of last year which I am now selling and bought SteveE's TDM a couple of days ago. I'll be collecting her on Wednesday. I'll be heading from Dunblane towards Cairnryan expecting to leave Dunblane area at about 10.30, give me a nod when you meet me on the road Taking the ferry across to larne at 3PM (I think) and then another 180k's to get home.
When I'm not selling DVR's for the boss I enjoy a bit of shark fishing and sea angling in general as well as a bit of golf and riding the bike (a bit more now I hope).
I've already had some good replies and feedback on a few questions I posted on the forum which shows me that you are all nuts and having nothing better to do
If ever you feel like exploring the north west of this beautifull little Island then feel free to use my brothers holiday home. It's fully kitted out and sleeps up to 10!! All you have to promise me is a few when your here and share a few stories

Tope in June and July, Blue Shark and Porbeagle Shark, anywhere between 6 and 20 miles ofshore. August and September are the best months. With a bit of luck you might see a few bluefin Tuna as well.
Mate of mine ownes the boat and his brother and myself do the steering bit.
Fancy a go?
Been riding most of me life, from small agricultural style trail bikes to my last BMW1100GS.
Fantastic cruiser, great for eating up the miles! Have just purchased an early 1999 TDM-850.
Have plans of fitting a sidecar for family touring? Any ideas and or suggestion?
Cheers BigFella

Come at aprice though I have seen this bike at the Squires Rally & there has been a shed load of work done on it. The guy that currently owns it is having a GS1150 outfit made at Merlin just now.

Might just do that!
The shark fishing has been pants off Cornwall for a few years now, at least when I've had chance to get out there.
Just a bit further to go, and I won't be able to do it there and back in a day, as I have done with Looe.
Regards
Mick

I think this is the last one I caught, about 4 years ago.
I have been a member for a short while; done just a few posts so have had the 'welcome', thank you. I live in mid Buckinghamshire, on the edge of the quiet zones; where the rush of traffic dimishes, thankfully. I am a returner to biking after a very, very (too) long gap. Had an Ariel 350 first of all - ex-War Dept..... (yes, I am that old!). Learned about engines with that one.
This week, I collected my Silver 2006 TDM 900/A. There seems to be no bike quite like it, you'll agree.
The missus and I saw the film 'Bucket List'. (Two old guys decide to do everything they can before their finale). I got 'permission' on the way home and I had a bike in the garage within three weeks! (You see.... I was ready). It was/is (only) a Kymco Venox but is much enjoyed.
A dream is fulfilled this week - a great chunk of good luck for me to see this TDM in its rightful place. A TDM and a Venox: can there be much more to life?........!
All I need now is the missing Owners Manual. Not necessarily the Workshop version; I just need to know the basics for TLC. Any suggestions as to possible sources?

About time I introduced myself. Based in the cotswolds moved up as the Thundercat down to Spain two up made my arms ache. Probably got 5 years left before I start to get too old for long tours.
Had a MkII since January & done 7k this year - Ireland, Isle of Man & Lakes
Been looking through threads etc. I'm starting to plan a trip to Norway next year and wonder if anyone's been & has a few tips.
We're camping, going in last few weeks of June, so hoping it won't be too cold at night, all the snow will have gone & the tourists season won't have started to get too busy. Hoping to wing it by not booking camp sites as that's a bit restrictive. Just aiming to do the fjiords as I 've not been there before.

Hi TT amd welcome to a stimulating group
Clare and I toured Norway by car in 2006 and were hugely impressed
the terrain is absolutely stunning
camping will resolve the one issue we noted which was price of food and drinks in restaurants and bars - prices in supermarkets were fine
we are planning to go back in the motorhome (I would love to go by bike but permission unlikely)

Hi Mick,
Things have changed here over the years as well. Where 8 or 10 good sharks was the norm it's now down to a couple a day, but still decent sizes though. Thank god the porbeagles have started to show themselves more often and although at first we only caught pups, we are getting them now up to 100lb (in know, still small for a porbeagle).
Stay in touch and we'll see what we can organize for next summer!!
ps. not the best picture of a blue but this lady was a bit green and so a bit of a handfull, she put the bag out as well...
She weighed in at around 110lb if I remember well. The Common was 198lb and the Blue Fin was just a shade under 550lb, nice.
Pictures were taken on board our previous boat The Bonito, she came from Exeter originally.
Did you notice the nice blue sky in the background with the Common, got sick of all those grey ones
