I've got a leather fob with a metal Norton badge on it.

The story goes that when I was growing up I always wanted a Norton Commando. When I started talking about buying one Mrs R bought me a present. When I opened it and found the keyring she said, 'Make the most of it. It's the only thing you'll ever own with the Norton emblem on it!'

I think she was trying to tell me something [Image: laugh.gif]

Thats original!!
I think it was a sign.
i don't like keyrings scratching my paint off around the yokes, but the key is too big to clip on the mini dog lead style clip on my keyring so i have a rubber think bike keyring that wont do damage. my older bro had loads of nortons (all the duff ones made) navigator, jubilee & a electra. silly of him to leave a huge bunch of keys in the ignition of the electra & go round a corner & lost the lot lol
Rubber Alpinestars, it's grey/black/white to match my jacket, and because it's rubber, it doesn't scratch my top yoke (any more than what it is!)...

I use one with YAMAHA on it for the YAMAHA
and I use one with HONDA on it for the HONDA
this way I don't get them mixed up and try to start my bike with the fridge, I'm thinking of writing 'this way in' on my socks too, so that I know which way round they are in the dark.

I clip the carabina to the clutch cable so as to stop me losing my keys as the ignition barrel does not lock the key in place!!

I have a leather thing with "Carrick Yamaha" written on it, I have written down the number for Carol Nash breakdown recovery on the other side, but it's worn away now so I'm not allowed to break down.
I have a rubber one with Yamaha on - don't like the scratches either. The dealer made me pay for the bloody thing....

There was a sort of neoprene tube thingy (snook or snood or something) that kept unused keys in a non-scratchy pouch when in the ignition. They seem to have disappeared from the market though, wouldn't mind finding one now???
