MZ Cobra
[Image: MZ-Cobra.jpg]
Right I have a pic so it does exist, but why can't I find out anything about it.......................anywhere. [Image: huh.gif]

I have no intention of buying one, but I'm interested in it now and I won't be able to get it out of my system till I know more about it. [Image: sad.gif]
Blimey that's a long swingarm [Image: huh.gif]

Looks quite old styling on the fairing and seat unit, maybe 5 years or so, perhaps that's why you can't find anything?
looks like a sports version of the MZ baghira.
Haven't seen this particular model before though...
Yamaha XJ600S Diversion '94
Yamaha XJ900S Diversion '97
Suzuki SV650S '01
Yamaha TDM900 '04

Yamaha XT660Z Ténéré '08 + Yamaha TRX850 '97

I'll let go of my throttle when they pry it from my cold, dead hands...

Similar angle at Cobra 1 (scroll down) and of the other side at Cobra 2. Nothing else except that (obviously) it is/was an 850.
Have sent an enquiry to w.jurgenson@william-jurgenson.com (the source of the first picture) in hope of further news.

Sure - as soon as I hear anything (no response yet!)

Meanwhile, maybe you'd like to check out Bill - he's a keyboard instrument maker with a side interest in bikes (shades of Yamaha Corporation origins here??). Go through "About Me" and scroll down to the bottom, where there's a link to a small video showing him on the track on one of his MuZ's, though nothing on the Cobra I think (I have a problem running it on my PC at the moment).

I think they fold down, I have no idea why I think this. It's just a feeling [Image: huh.gif]

By the way, I think it'd look nice without the fairing too.
but surely your feet would slip off then.

Is there some sort of regular thing between MZ & Yam going on? The Baghira? Had a 600 XTZ engine? Wasn't there something else besides that? It's a nice idea though, kinda keeps the TRX thing going on. Actually if anyone's interested I'll see if I can get some pics of my mate Steve B's TRX. It was featured in MCN a while back and recently on fleabay; NWS frame, swingarm, GSXR front end, Maxton F&R, etc. I've been scrapping with him at trackdays recently and he pulls a 'kin great whellie on it too [Image: good.gif]

Wish I could see the other side..
If someone is parting out a MZ Cobra the pipes would probably fit without too much modification. [Image: rolleyes.gif]

Edit: But then again if MuZ quality is up there with Muz design...... (The Cobra was an anomaly, most Muz's are hideous.)

He got it for £2750!

It's a 'kin minter. First thing he did was put a load of old bodywork on it and give it a trash on the track. Even with the crap bodywork on it you can see the frame quality on it.... Lovely. I'll get some pics of it and post 'em up.

I had an MZ MASTIFF which was great fun (people used to smirk at it until they realised they couldn't keep pace with it while trying to put it down out on the road, the electrics left a bit to be desired though, they used something that must've been a mixture of thin bone china and paper mache for a fuse holder !), it is/was fitted with the YAMAHA 660cc engine, as was the BAGHIRA and SKORPION, the current APRILIA PEGASO is also fitted with a YAMAHA 660 engine, and funnily enough the current YAMAHA 660's are fitted with a YAMAHA 660 engine aswell.
