We did debate this, waiting for the water to boil.
Our thoughts were it was either to keep the cab level to aid sleep or some sort of security device to notify being unhitched or towed.
Any other ideas?

Back home last night at 7.55pm. 3056km, less than 1 litre of oil. It rained as the boat entered Rosslare harbour and again as we drove into our yard!
Brilliant time had. Thanks to all for being there and contributing so much. Thanks to Guinness and Edith for being Earth Father and Mother.
Nobody has yet mentioned the Wicked Witch. Has she put a spell on keyboards?
The other cake owners in Markymark's posting above were us. Many memorable cakes the best for me being a chocolate tart outside some chateau on the way north. When we have re-configured the house (after leaving it in the hands of number 2 son and girlfriend for the duration) we should be able to find a pic of it for dedicated cakists.

Maybe he still has wee "Gertie". He doesn't actually get any further in 5weeks its just thats how long Gertie takes to find the way. Having said that she took us up a forest trail that turned out to be an adventure of a life time!

Had a great time with the bike running like a dream.

First night at Los Arcos

Campsite
Loads more pictures but not sorted as yet. Great memories including drinking and telling yarns till silly o'clock with Chris, Tony and G. Big Dave trying to get me into a double bed and hanging onto a TDM at silly angles around great European roads.. will def have to go again and the sooner the better.

Have to say my limited cornering ability was not enhanced by the continuous Chaussee Deformee and Gravellions signs, though I'd had enough practise by the end of the week that I'd certainly improved.
Much was down to my suspension fairy-godmother (Dandy) sprinkling his magic dust about though, so I think he deserves a pictural reward.

Pah, that's what TDM's are designed for, if you're going to ride on smooth tarmac you may as well buy a sports bike I reckon my favorite ride of the trip was chasing Stu down that bumpy road looping west out of Le Buge.
