same fuel consumption as the TDM850
great fun sliding it round corners on a set of knobblies
not as bad off road as you'd expect from a big bike
worst thing about an S10 is the brakes, you are better off turning round on the seat and farting....

should hopefully be fixed in a couple of hours *fingers crossed*

I gotta XTZ Tam and I only ever put a £10er in the tank to save fuel weight - unless I'm touring. That way it's cheaper to run than your TDM

I'm visiting from Carpe-TDM. I used to own an S10 when they were newish. Loved it.
If you regularly keep the tank only half full, it will get much water in the fuel through condensation of moist air on the cold tank walls overnight. Throw a cup of Methylated Spirits in with a full tank every month or so - that'll dissolve the water into the fuel to be burned harmlessly. Stops corrosion particles stuffing your fuel system. ;-)

Have you bought a scooter?
I helped Perforance Bikes do a track day at Knockhill many yonks ago (showed Rupert Paul how to ride properly and stop trying to wear his knees out ) on a S10 - feckin' hoot! Took the bike back to Carrick Motorcycles used bike showroom with the tyres melted and the sump plate worn to a sliver on the right side.
Carrick gave me a Kawasaki KR1S to play on that day as well but the S10 was much more fun
Best part of the day was hooning a full race Honda RC30 (in pic, I'm on the KR1S No8 next to journo Mark Forsyth) at the end of the day when everyone was off the track - best bike I've ever ridden
