Welcome to the madhouse Zed

methinks that you've got quite a smart bike undeneath all that dust & grime !
I'd give it a bloddy good wash & clean her up before you start pulling bits off though - it's surprising how abrasive that dust can be if you try & rub it off dry.
That paintwork looks immaculate inder the crap as well.

Do that.
Since you got such a good deal I would start off with a new chain and sprocket set,
£200
Great price, she looks very good under all that dirt.
(Hose it down to wash off the grit before you put a rag/sponge on it.)

Hello, Im Mick. Im in northern Vic Australia, I have a gold 1998 TDM. I had as a 1st bike an RD400 two stroke, followed up by a 84 FJ1100 and now the TDM. Great bike to have as there are plenty of dirt roads around and I hated not being able to explore them. Getting the TDM sorted for a half way around Aus ride in July. Mates have got Tigers so I'd better take a tow rope to get them out of trouble.
A little bit of pain never hurt anyone!
I thought Tigers liked the water?

Hello everyone.
My name is Rad (I won't bother you with my full name- ist's too difficult to pronounceWink) I'm from Poland, but now I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. Three weeks ago, after selling my Honda CB500 I bought a TDM900 2003. My God, what a bikeSmile Good things- handling, value/money, set of givi panniers fitted by previous owner, centrestand and a scottoiler. Bad things- I should've bought this bike years ago. But shhhhhh, there is still a lot of time to spend with my new love
