Last year when we went to St.Marys Loch we approached from the east then after CAKE we turned round and went back the same way. Well this year we have to ride the 15 miles from the loch to Moffat. I was down that way on Thursday for the first time since G2G 07 and rode the road in both directions. Great scenery & loads of twists and turns and yumps. What a hoot. Scared the shit out of my novice mate on his Fazer tho Gets my vote to be part of the ride out.

My young 'un enjoyed that trip - especially the chocolate cake in the visitor's centre coffee shop

By the way folks, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to let you down on this one
Mrs S has given me a stark choice - Bellingham in September, or the Moto Piston Rally in October, but not both !
And as I've already paid up for my return ferry & 4 days B&B in the Picos De Europa, that trip won

Maybe catch up with a few of you on a one day trip before winter, but failing that, next year, eh ?
Well guys SWMBO has given me a pass for the weekend,

No mistake - got a lot to fit in anyway - plus need to keep up the goodwill in preparation for a Spring '09 arrival
(By November, I will have gone a whole year without buying a bike ! )
As i missed the bunkhouse (forgot to send me money before summer hols) I will be turning up for the saturday rideout.

If there is interest in a run to and around the lakes please add your names here.

I am planning a run from bellingham over the full length of hartside then onto keswick and a clockwise passes run from there. taking in honister or whinlatter, then hardknot and wrynose then up to side gates and red bank. and finally the struggle to kirkstone and down and around ullswater. this takes in most of the views around the lakes.

it's not a compulsory run more of a seperate choice of run for those that dont fancy whatever other run is being organised

Mark, I'm going to take the Monday off again so would be interested in the details of a route like that to run south a bit on Sunday. Plus I still need to see if I can prove you all wrong and make it over Hardknott with my luggage on

Matlock, I'm toying with the idea of camping somwhere in the west midlands or North West on Thursday night and then taking a scenic route to bellingham, have you/Pete/Ivan figured out where you're meeting yet?
