Went for a noisy ride to Rostrevor. Or I thought I was. Had a couple of misfires on the way. Never happened before. Then we had to stop to let a bike race pass so I turned the engine off. As you would. After that the bike would not fire up again. Tried to bump start, nothing. Kept trying but no sign of life. Also no smell of unburned fuel. So seat came off and dug out the PC. Did I say I am running a Power Commander? After turning on ignition no lights came on on the PC. Usually it runs the lights up and down the left column on start up.
Before everybody goes to sleep it fired up after about 30 minutes. Lights on on the PC. Keeping the revs around 4k kept me going back homewards. 15 minutes later it ran normally. This w/e the map in the P/C was different. Rough-ish. Replaced with correct map and still not good.
Is the PC knackered? Do they break? Or should I look at the bike's electrics?
I could unplug and run on the STD map once I got the noise stopped. Question is really about reliability of the PC.
