Got ready to do the annual service - a major with shim check, overdue @ 55,000 or so.

Dug out the records from the first shimming back in 2015.

Hoiked it up on the EazyRizer.

Pulled the back wheel to get at the shock linkage.

Loosened the bellypan support to allow the oil filter pan removal. Anyone else with the official Yamaha bellypan found a way round this weird arrangement?

 

I'd put up some pix but the system refuses and is saying Uploading is not allowed for some reason. They are .JPGs and under 10MB each. Have I been a naughty boy and got blocked?

 

On my 3vd I can remove the oil pan without removing the bellypan, It did take me a oil changes before trying it and finding out I could. Maybe the later ones are different.
