I have come to accept that my motorcycling days are, sadly, at an end. I could still do it in physical and mental terms, I think, but I now channel that ability into caring for my disabled wife. I am unable to make opportunites for riding.
I have had a terrific run - one year as a 16yr. old, and then a return for another 15 years that I never thought would happen. I have come from a wartime despatch rider's bike - Ariel 350 (War) Special, through a TDM and others to an MT-07. What luck! I am sure that the riding time has been very good for me, if nothing else it has certainly given me e-n-o-r-m-o-u-s fun every single time. I miss it. However, at the age of 83, I acknowledge that now is the time for me to be very thankful for all that and to recognise that all good things do come to an end.
I shall continue to poke my nose into Carpe almost daily as I have done since owning a TDM 900.
Best wishes, and keep it going...!
