That Mk1 looks nice

 

I was helping Mole get some of Wicky's bike stuff sorted and the mk1 kinda grew on me as I worked on it, had to have it.

 

Lovely Ian, a fully working mk1 gearbox !! remember how to ride it   shaftie is nice as well, do they need much doing ?

 

5 fookin gears not 4.5 eh. Mk1 needs a deep clean and a few jobs, paint fork lowers, sort out fuel lines etc, depending how far I want to take it really. The Xj650, I'll probably just get it running sweet, sort out any mechanical needs, give it a good clean and run as is for now.

XJ will make a great rally / tourer

 

Off topic (not really).... mancave needs treatment (and a door), by the look of it.......Sadolin durable.... not cheap but lasts years (applied 2 coats to my new shed and it's still good 7 years later), much better than fence paint.

Been thinking it might be a good bike to take abroad.
