I can feel your pain :-)

Had a Talbot 30yrs ago, and upon changing brake pads/shoes I was told there were 3 manufacturers of brake systems fore and 3 aft so 1/9 chance of getting it right before disassembly....

 

Its particularly good when the manufacturer doesnt know which combo they have put on a certain ve-hickle.  

You will have rebuilt the entire car at this rate

 

Just catching up with 20 years of neglect/incompetence with the odd bit of routine maintenance thrown in.  

 

Noticed the battery was 6 years old and from a Toyota...so probably second hand when installed in Pug.  New battery arrived today and old juan will be relegated to random 12V lock up duties.
