I have a terrible memory but do remember him telling us that they have to scrub out the gravel.....and they do this before administering any pain killers as they thin the blood and make em leak too much...maybe he made all that up but it worked for me.

 

Yep I'm sure that's what they do.

And coming from a family of mostly nurses, i think that secretly some of them love it !

 

My sister (senior nurse) used to lecture me about motorbikes, and called riders 'donors', and then she took up bicycling again and 3 months later undertook a lorry turning left and ended up in ICU, and thankfully made a complete recovery. I never let her forget it Wink
