Putting a back wheel in a Benelli today on my own, where the centre stand only just goes over centre, which could be dangerous.
I strapped the middle bar of the centre stand to front wheel with a ratchet strap, as it would be easy to push the bike off the stand putting wheels and things in.
On my Abba stand I like to use both arms of the font wheel lift attachment as it provides extra stability even if you are not lifting front wheel. I use a block of wood under the rear facing arm.Â
