I once got intrigued by a bike I saw abroad and checked out the importing rules, just for my own info. like. I got thoroughly bogged down in procedures and documentation requirements. I concluded it was not worthwhile unless either as a business or for a very special bike.

That was just from official government / DVLA etc websites. So I suggest you get Googling and read up.

It's far from impossible - I once had an ex-France VFR750 that had been personally imported and came with a load of documentation.
