was windows 3.1 not first after DOS 6? and who remembers Word Perfect use to be market leader - and a hard drive measured in MB

 

Windows 3.0 was the first widely spread Windows version, 3.11 was the first version prepared for networking. DOS was part of the Windows stack until Windows 2000, which was based on NT platform. 

WordPerfect was my way into computers, spending free hours a couple of weeks made me a "guru" from then on. A couple of years later I started my programming career, and I'm still there. Believe I would still enjoy using WP 5.1, though
