Could be a bit messy if doing it in that order but it's the endresult that counts
I found changing oil rather straightfoward on the TDM, apart from having two draining points and the oil-filter sitting behind a cover (like me good ol' BMW).
The only thing I find a bit odd is when checking the oil level through the glass the level is actually higher before running the engine and then waiting a wee bit (as the manual says). My Buell also has a dry sump and there the tank fills up after having run the engine for a while. I wonder how oil can flow back into the tank (which sits above the engine and pumps) after the engine is switched off: Has Yamaha managed to crack the laws of gravity?
