oil show ya what i did with that damn hole...... luckily i used to spray wd40 on the bottom bolt regularly and when it came to removal twas very easy.

lads i used on empty copier toner cartridge and cut it to shape and pop rivetted same in situ. i think the hole is there to allow clearance for the stock rear shock when it bottoms out if you notice i extended it so as to prevent water/debris etc being flung off the rear tyre onto the swinger and bottom shock mount and abrading the paint finish................i tink thats why alot of TDM's have a rusty swingarm in the same place. pi$$ easy to do too.
