Hi all. Just a little introduction, my name is graham and I've been a lurker here for a while watching and researching the tdm. I've had a couple fazers and a couple of bmw gs's, then the tdm started to make sense. So the search began and with a stroke of luck found one on here. Yesterday evening after a two hour trip on the road to hell I pull up outside Pict's house and do the deal. The ride home was just what the doctor ordered, fairly similar to the bm but felt more stable and eager to please. I am gonna enjoy this bike and hopefully meeting some of you guys (and girls).
Thanks to Pict for the tea and use of toilet!! And also my folks for driving me up there.
Hope to see some of you soon, Graham. Thanks again Pict

You're welcome, G. Looking forward to pix of your exploits. Is it too late for your Dad and you to join the Carpe German trip in May, btw? (See this other thread - 4 or 5 bods going at present [post #122]). It would be fun in itself, or as a part of a tour like you're planning?? Just a thought.
This lad'll fit in really well, folks, and I hope you'll have a chance to meet before too long.

Already "advertised" the anticipated pleasures. Would be nice if bikey made the trip after all, in new hands........
It is a lovely bike and I'd love to ride it to the nice guinness but I've got a european adventure with me dad and numerous outings with me mates not to mention trying to catch up with some of you lot to try and fit in! I think riding to Ireland will probably push my marriage over the edge! I don't suppose anyone has a spare sidecar? I could bring the wife and kids then!

It's a dark Masonic secret - you know how my generosity embarrasses me.
Welcome, Mark, btw. You'll get used to this lot eventually - by which time you'll be doomed. There are quite a few members within comfortable reach of you.
Hi Guinessgrim, another local! Assuming that's the same Frimley Green I assume it is we're getting a fair few of us around this area, you're within about 10 miles of at least 5 other carpe members. Some of us southern types are getting together in Alton in a few weeks time. >>Link<<
Hi Mark G, think there's several people around your neck of the woods too,

Just bought a TDM850 4TX 2000, 33.000 KM, last februari.
Came by this Forum and I think it is one of the best I have seen about the TDM, thats why I joined it.
Planning to do all the maintenance/repairs my self. (this forum is great when I run in to problems).
