It's very quiet here folks, is something wrong ?

Quiet yes but all good. Ageing boikes and riders and forum.
Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.
Yep, all getting a bit older!

Just had a 320 mile round trip (over 2 days) up lake district....bluebird museum and a couple of passes. 100 miles of M6 traffic did my head in tbh.....sign of age...or sign of congestion and shite driving....or both??
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!

04 900 - 92 mk 1 - r 1150 rs - Z550 A1 - 2x bonnies - plastic slug -XL185 - ...not in that order !! (and one or two i don't want / dare to own up to !!)
I dunno capn. I haven't ever managed to do more than a junction of motorway without getting helmet tourrets even when oi were a lad.

Quiet because we are content maybe?

Riggers and myself are having our days out in East / North Yorkshire, but they feel so "everyday" as to not warrant telling you all about. We've had a week near Keswick in May with our usual mob, but it pissed it down all week, so nothing to show really. Unfortunately I had to miss the annual Scottish trip this 'cos wifey was in hospital, but I promise some pics from our next stop at Northallerton for a week.

If your still riding good luck and if you're not, remember the good times.

I'm keeping quiet about why I'm keeping quiet........

Quiet but every post rich of literary merit and content. Me contemplating my riding days of yore, but popping in frequently.

Mine did a run to see a Lancaster bomber run up its four Merlins, then I spent sunday making a couple of bar ends for the Capn.

Still rides like it was new
So all's good then ?

I'm delighted to hear it.

If I were anywhere within 200 miles of you I'd also be doing just that. Even more so if I could catch a radial  :yeahbaby:

(Some years ago I was in Cape Town and managed to see and hear a Shackleton run its four Griffons. That was excellent.)

I blew away some cobwebs with my usual run to the Green Welly on Saturday but didn't even take a picture to share

Then again, a picture doesn't really do it justice

Over the last few weeks I've been going through some training to become a tutor with our RoSPA group. One classroom session and a couple or rides in so far. Got a few nice "day" rides coming up this week and next where we're venturing down into Essex and up into Lincolnshire. Doing my bit to show a 20 year old 900 is all that's needed and not a fully dressed GS :-)

Well done Trevini show them we still got it
Not sure you’ll be able to tutor them when you’ve left them all behind Trev!

There’s an advanced social group I’m a member of that’s invite only, the bulk of the membership are ex or current serving police motorcyclists. The chances of me leaving them all behind are quite slim. Opposite way round  would think.

We were out on a day ride a few weeks back where I was leading a group of about 4/5. At the first coffee stop, one of the group suggested I wasn’t riding with my usual “pep”. TBH, I was just enjoying the ride and concentrating on smoothness, but I applied more pep fro the next leg. Same guy commented at the lunch stop and said it was more like me (we’d caught the gr out in front of us fairly quickly and made up the 5 min or so head start they had on us.
But then some of us have more than one bike. Its difficult to find time to ride them all.
