Nec Bike Show
Am l right in thinking that you can park your car in the national motorcycle museum car park for free

go in for a cooked breakfast

and then walk across to the nec?
You can def park for free while having breakfast, whether you'll get away with leaving it there for the show..... there are signs up! And it's quite a trek to the nec, but good luck.
The Blue One : 2004 model owned 2010-2018 much loved, much missed and now living with a man in Scotland Spain.

The Black One : 2010 Model Registered 2013 owned 2018 - present .Beowulf Cans. Renthal 755s Grip Puppies,15w fork oil,DL650 handguards ,givi engine bars ,led spotlights, gipro gear indicator, shortened dogbones, LeeHenty CSM kit and stainless bits, Topsellerie seat,MRA Xcreen,.PC III (dynoed). K&N airfilter,Fenda extenda. Lots of stainless/titanium.

There was a mahoosive computer show on at the NMM and we were extremely lucky to find a parking space.  You could pay the £7.50 admission fee and then park up at the NMM but it is a fair slog over to the NEC.  Prolly best to pre-book parking at the NEC for £10 and catch the free bus service from car park to the centre, and back.

A day spent walking around the show and the last thing you wanna do is a long walk to get to your car. Wink
Quote:Brekky at the National Motorcycle Museum was excellent.  Fresh and plentiful, if a tad more expensive than it was in previous years.

The new MT10 was on display.  Whilst I liked the looks, the size of it disappointed, it's a wee thing !

[Image: attachicon.gif]MickMT10.jpg

After seeing the photos, I'd expected it to be a rip snortling beastly looker of a bike, oozing testosterone and uber manliness.  Seemed to work for Alunl tho !  Big Grin

The Carbon Diavel was more like it

Norton displayed their wares, some a tad weird, like this one kitted with plastic machine guns Huh

[Image: attachicon.gif]Img_0118.jpg

Others seemed more in line with what you'd expect from Norton, like this beauty.

[Image: attachicon.gif]Norton.jpg

Speaking of beauties Big Grin

[Image: attachicon.gif]Yeeehaaa1.jpg

I managed to get their attention without being arrested !

[Image: attachicon.gif]Yeeehaaa2.jpg

They say beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, waddya all reckon to this ?

Sidey's 'boy' Christopher, still growing I reckon ! Lol

[Image: attachicon.gif]Woohoo.jpg

And finally, as promised, some photos for Tintin of the SV650's on display, there were loads of 'em !

I ended up leaving with a new flip front helmet, an LS2 Strobe, for £75.  It was a great fit compared to my Caberg, slightly better quality too.  Also got some Richa gloves, reduced from £39.99 to £19.99 and a pack of 3 Oxford Comfy's that were on special offer when booking the ticket. :good:

Great to meet up with Sidey and the boy, as always, and also to meet up with Alunl for the first time. :good:

Sorry I didn't phone you Favs, it was all over before I realised I hadn't phoned you mate. :blush2:
Thanks for that Ian..As you said the MT10 is small & doesn't look that mush different to the Naked XJ6 from the side.

Out of that lot I would have the SV. Its just my kind of bike. :badgerrock:
Like the M10 colours, the Bimoto is back from the future, looks okay, but the sminky photo's is best , Twins maybe  :yeyeye:

Cheers Ian, chuck a couple up of the new lid please, i quite like the convert..

Will do bod.
There's a bike show review TV show  on Eurosport, it'll be repeated regularly this week I'm sure. Towards the end of the show Matt Roberts is reviewing the Suzuki Vanvan and there's a real handsome bassad stood behind him in the background  :pimp: . I'm sure I saw Dablik 15 minutes in in a 70s brown leather jacket.

Anyone see the girl on the Spearmint Rhino stand. Obviously promoting the low cut, see through air bag t-shirt. Don't usually struggle with eye contact!! Sadly, no photo....

Anybody see the new Africa Twin?

Any thoughts?

XT1200Z - Big and bouncy

GTR1400 - Chaufer the wife.

XT660Z - Fun and commute.

TDM900 - Yellow.
Yes ,dual clutch model too expensive. Both seem engineered to a profit line. Pannier on R is a joke. Panniers are worst of both-plastic frame & aluminium panels. Feels small,dash-instruments disappointing.
